East of England Regional Assembly was the designated planning body for Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire until March 2010 with responsibility for housing, infrastructure and gypsy & traveller relations. |

What? |
PR assistance was sought to raise the awareness of the organisation across the region. A specific PR campaign was also run to encourage public participation in the region wide consultation for the East of England Plan and the number of new houses needed for our region. |

How? |
Through issuing a regular stream of press releases to the media in the East of England, and handling a press office on behalf of EERA to set up radio/TV interviews and answer journalist enquiries. |

Outcome |
For the specific PR campaign on the East of England Plan/housing consultation, every media outlet in the East of England carried at least 1 EERA story, with all publications and broadcast media getting involved in the public consultation. This piece of work was awarded Gold in the CIPR PRide Awards in 2010 in the Community Relations category. |
