Who?

Ipswich Building Society is a ‘mutual’ organisation which works in the best interests of its 65,000 members. It has nine branches and five agencies in Suffolk and one agency in Norfolk.

What?

Manage and develop Ipswich Building Society’s reputation and increase its brand profile in the region and nationally .Attract new savers and investors.

How?

Identifying strong news stories (community and product based) and writing/issuing press releases; building strong relationships with target media; providing regular commentary on topical news and arranging broadcast interviews; being innovative with social media.

Outcome

A regular flow of positive coverage in key local, regional and national titles. Stronger relationships with key journalists Brand visibility increased amongst non-members, and retail savings have increased. The Society was named the ‘Business of the Year’ at the Anglian Business Awards 2009.
