Genesis PR provides Christmas boost for Ipswich charityGenesis PR ended 2011 on a high note by organising a Christmas celebration for the clients and staff at its nominated charity Genesis Orwell Mencap, the Ipswich based provider of services for people with disabilities, their families and carers.
The Genesis PR team provided festive fayre including mince pies and drinks and joined in the fun at the Genesis Orwell Mencap Christmas disco where the PR consultancy also made a £350 donation to the charity.
Chief Executive at Genesis Orwell Mencap Nino Serritiello said: “We were delighted Genesis PR could join us to celebrate Christmas – a good time was had by all! We are over the moon with the donation which will certainly be put to good use.”
Genesis Orwell Mencap provides a range of support services and activities for people with disabilities from its site in Wright Road, Ipswich and in the community. The organisation also runs social enterprises including Genesis Garden Furniture, the Green Bike Project which repairs unwanted bikes, pottery, soft fabric and glass crafts.
Rachel Cass, Senior Account Manager at Genesis PR said: “Every Christmas we like to give our nominated charity a festive gift to help make a difference in the local community. We all thoroughly enjoyed the festive celebrations with Genesis Orwell Mencap and are looking forward to further supporting the charity through our pro bono work in 2012.”
