New appointments at Genesis PR

Award winning Suffolk PR agency Genesis PR has appointed two new Account Executives to its growing team and has also welcomed back a former member of staff.

Ruth Ryland graduated from University of East Anglia with a BA Honours degree in English Literature before studying for an MA in Public Relations and completing an eight month internship in London. She was a student at St Albans RC High School in Ipswich.

Ian Savage has a BA Honours degree in history from University of East Anglia and travelled in Australia before returning to Suffolk where he gained valuable work experience including for Archant on Ipswich Evening Star and at a London PR agency on a three month internship. Ian went to Orwell High School and Felixstowe Sixth Form.

The third Account Executive to start with Genesis PR in 2012 is Aisleen Marley, a former employee who left two years ago to travel the World and has returned to Suffolk to start a new travel business with her partner. Aisleen is working with Genesis PR on a part time basis.

Penny Arbuthnot, Director, Genesis PR, says: “Ruth and Ian are two talented and ambitious graduates who join us with some commercial experience under their belts and are already making a valuable contribution to our client PR programmes.”

She added: “We have recently won some new clients which has enabled us to grow the team from six to eight staff including Aisleen who we are delighted to welcome back after her travels. 2012 looks as though it will be an exciting year for our business.”

Genesis PR creates and delivers PR strategies for clients, with core services including media relations, stakeholder engagement and social media. As well as a number of national clients, Genesis PR works more locally for Ipswich Building Society, Christies Care, Grant Thornton, Sanctuary Personnel and Live Well Suffolk as well as others.
